Here's an image I grabbed tonight while on the street. I decided to make a promo piece out of it.

If you work with digital files you need to know about this site http://www.updig.org

The UPDIG guidelines aim to clarify issues affecting accurate reproduction and management of digital image files. Although they largely reflect a photographer’s perspective, anyone working with digital images should find them useful.

Here's an image from a fashion show that I attended in Boston, Ma. I like the color and feel of this image.

Way back in '95 I was traveling down the coast of California and grabbed this shot and submitted it to the Time & Place website. Here's what I wrote back then about it.

Route 1, California
October, 1995
photograph by Wayne Wallace

I was in San Francisco for the first time, and was very disappointed because of all the fog and bad weather.

But the weather didn't stop me Saturday morning. I got up at about 5 a.m. and hit the road with not a clue where to go. I found a map and on it, Route 1, and off I went with lots of film. The early morning shots were not good because of the heavy fog, even though I hit every sight-seeing spot and pull off spot along the way to try to get a shot of something that would make the trip worthwhile.

As I jumped in and out of the car, racing down Route 1 through Carmel, the 17 mile drive, Monterey and Big Sur, I came upon this shot. With my Canon EOS on automatic I got this shot, which made the whole drive worth it. As I took the speedy route home via a main highway, I listened to my home team the Atlanta Braves win the World Series. People driving by me must have thought I was crazy, jumping around in the car.

To see some other shots from this trip, check out my home page.

I recently spent some time with Sandy Puc' (Sam) in her Colorado Studio Expressions Photography. While I was there I hung out with her great staff and did some retouching for her. If you have the chance to visit her studio while in Colorado or see her speak at a PPA event I highly recommend it. Sandy is also a member of the board of directors of the Professional Photographers of America.

Here are some reference letters and testimonials about me and my work.
