My main focus is on building my own business and client base, but I also assist other professional photographers as needed. AE Manager/Application Engineer - Major responsibilities included managing 2 other Application Engineers, providing technical programming support in the areas of C++, ATL/COM and VB to potential customers. I also helped third party developers find the best technology fit for their needs. I often needed to find solutions to difficult problems and develop proof of concept applications. Keeping current with new development technologies was a major part of my job.

Rebis Industrial Workgroup Software - Walnut Creek, CA - 5/98 - 6/99
3D R&D Group/Senior Applications Developer - Major responsibilities included designing, creating and maintaining C/C++ MFC based applications and DLLs for use with AutoCAD. As one of the technology leads in the R&D group I also created technical documents and presentations to explain how we could use newer programming techniques and technologies.

Autodesk, Inc. - San Rafael, California - 8/96 to 5/98
Developer Consulting Group/Developer Consultant - Major responsibilities included providing C++ API support and training, writing technical documents for the developer community, participating in core team meetings, beta programs, and special developer events.

Sandwell Inc. - Atlanta, Georgia - 4/87 to 8/96
Computer Services Department/Systems Specialist - Responsibilities included application development in C, C++ and AutoLISP, future needs analysis, and the support of 120 AutoCAD seats.

Mechanical Department/Piping Designer - Responsibilities included equipment design and layout, P&ID development, piping system design, isometrics and material take-offs, and field investigation on Pulp and Paper projects.

CAD Department/CAD Manager - Responsibilities included supervising and scheduling workload for a group of 6 CAD operators, training engineers and designers on use of CAD, developing and maintaining a production CAD design system, and helping with the support of a 250 user Novell network.

Fafnir Bearing - New Britain, Connecticut - 2/85 - 4/87
Bearing Designer - Organized and scheduled all engineering and manufacturing activities for the delivery of new bearing orders. This included doing the CAD design, purchasing the stock and tooling, preparing the manufacturing schedules for forging, machining, assembly and shipping.
