Girl that never smiled
Sunday, October 26, 2008
This image was a part of the story I shot for HDTV quite some time ago. The image didn't make it to the final round yet for some reason I just couldn't delete it... The girl was about eight and she was the only child that never smiled that day...Labels: Alex Stepanov, Black and White Photography, child portrait

Children Portraits...
Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Here are some new children portraits I have done recently. I need some work an expressions but I think I captured his personality. Patricia and I are now near Houston and plan on opening up our studio within the month. Also for all of you who didn't know we are getting married this Saturday!

Hello everyone!
I took this image during a photoshoot with my boss (Michael, Bambi's business partner). I actually captured this when Michael handed me the camera so he could set up another shot with this boy's brother and mom. The only shot I was able to take during the session, but I really like it.
I have two versions of the image because I couldn't make up my mind about which mood I like better. It's funny, I make decisions all day long about what to do with my boss's images, but when it comes to mine, it's not that easy. Perhaps it's because I'm not sure what direction I want to take this particular image. I like the moodiness of the low-contrast image, but not sure if it's what my clients will be into.
I'd love to hear what you all think!
