Wyoming "Photo Booth"

After admiring many photographers photo booth idea (mainly "the image is found"), we decided to try it out at a wedding we did in Wyoming last week (we were there when H. Ike hit). "Photo Booths" are such a great service to be offered at a wedding reception, it really added to the atmosphere and it enabled us to tell more of a story! Hurricane Ike

As most of you know, we recently moved to the Houston area back in March and were just getting settled in the area. Although we lost one of our favorite places to shoot (Galveston Island), we are all safe and now have power (as of today). Below are some images we took of the aftermath of Ike, with a few from the last session we did in Galveston.

Engagement Session

This past week Patricia and I had the chance to travel to Austin for an engagement session and got to visit with some fellow alums (Kindra and Edith). It was great to catch up and reminisce about days at Hallmark (we still can't believe its been over a year.) This past weekend we took a trip out to Galveston Island for a engagement session. I am starting to love the Houston area (especially Galveston), there are so many places to shoot, this session we really just stayed on one block. Meet Kori Amanda Long

With much anticipation, Kori Amanda finally made it here (a week and two days late)! Kori was born Thursday, June 5th at 12:34 P.M weighing 9 pounds with a length of 21 inches! Patricia and I have been doing very well, and are slowly getting used to pulling all nighters with our new bundle of joy!

Couple Session

Patricia and I are slowly getting settled in the Houston area. Still looking around for studio space but have not quite decided on the location yet. Here is a "Couple Session" we did today near Galveston Island. Next week we are doing her senior pictures so we thought we would take a stroll to the beach today (never been there) to see what we can do for her senior pictures! Wow I don't think I have done two post in a week on Hipsters yet! Its good to be back to shooting/editing more often. 1.5 weeks left in Omaha; and then I am off to Houston, Texas (was Chicago but plans changed). Here is a Family Portrait that Patricia and I did tonight, I have not done one since the good old days at Hallmark. Comments welcomed, I really need help in this department!

Portrait Session
Been trying to think outside the box with my editing lately and think I found something I like. Little bit of G. Blur (yes 07, still using it ;) ) , little bit of sharpening, and some Hue/Sat. I think I like it for low key "B/W" style but still working on the process a little bit more. Would love to hear what you think!

Bridal Session...

Thought I would share my first Bridal Session. Never could find anyone with a wedding dress at Hallmark, so I never got a chance to actually do a Bridal Session until now. The more and more I am in the portrait studio the more I feel at home; I wouldn't trade it for anything! Hope everyone had a great holiday! The Chicago move is right on track, few more months and I will be there officially!

Here is a few images from a wedding that I photographed with Kameron last weekend. It was a really relax fun wedding, the more and more I shot weddings, the more I am starting to enjoy them. Although they are quite stressful at time; they remind me why I am a photographer :)

Last week I assisted Kameronand took about five minutes or so to get a few shots for my portfolio. This was my favorite; almost fell off a chair while shooting it; but definatly worth it!
