One of those perfect wedding days...
Tuesday, October 21, 2008

I had the most gorgeous wedding two weekends ago near Alexandria VA. Meg and Will were one of those couples that were willing to do anything and loads of fun! I wish every couple would have as much as they did!

Parking Lot Wedding Photography
Monday, September 15, 2008
I found this wall a few months ago and it's across from a church I shoot at quite a bit. It's in a parking lot and there's really nothing to work with except this wall. I was excited because I finally got to use it and my clients were up for it.

Lauren and I were bonded as soon as we started emailing. She actually asked me for open dates in the summer so she could plan her wedding around my availability. I loved do this one. Their ceremony was so moving and spiritual. I cried like the whole time. I'll have a whole slideshow of this soon--I've been a really bad blogger lately!

Recent Wedding in Northampton
Monday, August 25, 2008

I shot a wedding in Massachusetts recently. It was great to be back in the area. Fellow graduate T.R. Smith was my co-shooter (more accurate description than second shooter). I learned a lot from him. Here are some of my favorite images. I hope all is well with everyone. Susan

Wedding
Monday, June 16, 2008
I really liked these blue tiles because I felt they complimented the groom's tie. With the help of the *new* Totally Rad Actions, version 2, I pumped some extra blue into the tiles and the tie:

This is a pose you can do with any bride in any church doorway no matter where you are. It's really flattering to all body types.

Another shot you can do anywhere, whether it be on the ocean or at the most bland country club on the face of the earth. The bride was nervous about sitting in the grass. Normally, with a more full skirt, I would have her sit on her actual undergarments and fluff the gown around her. Because this bride was wearing a more form fitting silk gown, I used my family formal portrait paper to go between her and the ground.

I wanted to share some ideas and poses where you can do anywhere and aren't venue specific. I'm always a bit nervous when working in a new area but I know I have fall-back things I can use no matter what the surroundings.

I normally like really smiley bride & grooms, but I like the look on their faces in this more serious portrait.

Congratulations Giuli Ann & Michael!!!
Monday, April 28, 2008
Giuli-Ann and I graduated Hallmark together in 06 and have remained in contact since then - so I was honored (and a bit nervious!) when she asked me to shoot her wedding. On April 12, 2008 Laura and I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Giuli-Ann Williams to Michael Marchiano at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando. And what a blast it was!! Giuli-Ann was absolutely stunning and she and Michael make a great couple. We wish them all the best! Here are some outtakes from the day...

Flip the dress in Vermont
Saturday, November 10, 2007
I had a very fun adventure with this couple at their new house, which they are flipping. I took full advantage of the location. After nailing her to the wall, hanging from the rafters, and playing in the wood pile, we went down to the water. As the bride was lowering herself into the water, I slipped and enjoyed a brisk swim, camera in hand. The shoot was cut short so we could warm ourselves by the fire while my clothes dried. I will be returning in the spring to take some more shots. Enjoy a few images from my first Trash the Dress session and as always, feedback is appreciated.

Fall Wedding...
Sunday, October 28, 2007

Here is a few images from a wedding that I photographed with Kameron last weekend. It was a really relax fun wedding, the more and more I shot weddings, the more I am starting to enjoy them. Although they are quite stressful at time; they remind me why I am a photographer :)

10/20/07 Wedding
This wonderful couple really wanted our best so we had so much time to get some amazing images. I love building relationships with clients that go well beyond a "bussines transaction" and how it builds a larger sense of community. And I'm really thankful to have met Dan and Danielle - thanks to Will who worked with them at the Olive Garden. To see more, check out the blog.

Las Vegas Wedding Photography
Tuesday, October 23, 2007

I don't really advertise wedding photography but I do photograph them once in a while. Vegas weddings are not your typical weddings. Most of the time people just want me to come out for a few hours after their chapel ceremony and do some fun shots around a casino property.
Nicole and Josh wanted some shots outside of the Mandalay Bay where they met and eventually got married! Apparently, What happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas.
I just got this testimonial from Nicole so I thought I would share it with you.
Sorry, I'm a little late getting this to you, but thanks so much for the pics.... they are perfect. We received tons of compliments at our reception (that we finally had two weeks ago!) including comments that they were the best wedding pictures some people had ever seen! Again, thank you so much for capturing our special day for us. Josh and I never dreamed our pictures would turn out so well, and truly capture "us." Our experience working with you was exceptional from booking, to photographing, to ordering. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Rob Spring - Alumni Wedding

It was a pleasure to be asked by a fellow Halmark Alumni to shoot his wedding. I flew up to Ohio to spend the weekend there. Rob and Rosie were gorgeous and I followed them all day..golfing, getting hair done, the works. I don't recommend shooting for 12 hours in a day if you don' t have to, but it was a learning experience. Every time I shoot a wedding I fall in love with my career all over again. We are the luckiest people in the world being photographers!! Congrats Rob and Rosie!!!

Outdoor Weddings Rock!
Monday, October 22, 2007

So Cill and I shot a wedding in upstate New York last weekend on a beautiful day. The bride and groom work in the film industry and were so cool. A string trio played a Radiohead song as the Bride was escorted down the aisle!

And for Something Different...
Thursday, October 18, 2007
Well, at least it's different for me. I love images that are both new and familiar. This one has that feel for me.

Used a Lensbaby 2.0 and took the yellows out. I still have a lot to learn about color - when I mess with it sometimes, I don't think I get it quite right. What do you all think?

I'm always amazed how an image takes on new life in post! As I'm taking it, I might think it's not working. But after I play with it in Photoshop, it's like a brand new image... I like this one now.

One of my wedding images
Monday, October 1, 2007
I was just organizing some images on my hard drive and ran across this image from a wedding I shot at the Bellagio when I worked there. This was one of my favorite places to take the couple when they bought extra time to go around the grounds and have pictures taken.

My First Wedding
Wednesday, September 26, 2007
At the beginning of Hallmark I swore off weddings, but got suckered by my cousin and my good friend into shooting their wedding in Ponce, Puerto Rico four weeks ago. I had a blast photographing the event, and I'm not as anti-wedding anymore. I was a baptism by fire, shooting it on my own, and in very hot weather but I am happy with what I produced for them.Labels: Adrian Cordero Photography, Wedding Photography

Northwest Wedding Photography - Always Fun!
Wednesday, August 22, 2007

Keeping things fun and colorful!
Thank you to my amazing clients.
You really let me be myself and allow me to be a part of your special day.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful personalities with me!
Your what makes my job so special...the reason I love what I do!
It's been a great couple of months. A real fun and successful leaping start from the gates.
I've been shooting weddings, engagements, editorial and business portraits.
I've also got some big shooting jobs ahead of me.
A hotel in town will have me shooting food, architecture, interior, environmental portraits and business portraits.
I've got a couple more weddings still ahead in the next month and a couple on-location pet portraits to shoot.
It's been great working here!
I wanted to share these select few...
Just a cool parking lot...
Look carefully...
An amazing ally way...
Aw! Just look at them!
The sidewalks in Bellingham are great!
So much going on here...
Talk about attitude...
Stretching for that kiss!
Some shadow play...Thanks for looking at my work! More to come in next months blog!

Bellagio Bride
Saturday, April 7, 2007

Here's a shot that I snagged when I shot weddings at the Bellagio.
This was one of those moments when I was with the right bride, walking to the chapel and we hit this spot and the light was perfect, with a little fill flash of course.
I snapped into action and directed her for 3 quick shots before we were off to marry her.
It's one of my favorite images.
