Las Vegas Girls Night Out - Pin-Up Girl Photography

This group of girls came in from Los Angeles to Las Vegs for a bachelorette party and decided to come into the studio for some retro pin-up girl pictures. We had a lot of fun!
We came out to Vegas for a bachelorette party, and were looking for something to make our trip unique. Wayne had just the thing! We set up a retro pin-up girl photo shoot, and with a little research we came prepared with our props and costumes. We couldn't have done it without Wayne's direction and hilarious comments throughout the shoot. He made us all feel so comfortable, and helped us to "work" the camera. His studio was very accommodating to all of our needs. We all definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun thing to do with their girlfriends! -- Courtney, the Sailor

I would like to give a huge public THANK YOU! to George Rosa and the Hallmark Institute of Photography.
My photography studio was broken into last week and almost all of my camera gear was stolen basically shutting me down.
George Rosa, the president of Hallmark, asked me what I needed to keep on shooting and graciously overnight-ed the equipment I needed at a minimum to keep my business going and on track.
Not only did Hallmark provide me a great photography education, but they also stepped up in my time of need and came to the rescue!

I needed headshots to start my fitness/modeling portfolio and how convenient was it that his studio was the first place to pop into my mind and it was less than a 3 minute drive from my house. A Las Vegas Wedding - Ayumi & Eric

Ayumi & Eric came all the way from Australia to get married in the 108 degree weather of Las Vegas! We started out at the Neon Sign Graveyard near downtown Las Vegas. The actual wedding ceremony was held at the Bellagio, my old stomping grounds. In case you didn't know I used to be a wedding photographer at the Bellagio.
We had a lot of fun!

Crystal came in for some new headshots. She's getting ready for her big move to Los Angeles to become a big star! I think she'll do great! We had a lot of fun. Here's a few of our favorites and some kind words she sent me after the photoshoot.
"I have had my head shots taken a few times before, but I was never really quite satisfied with the results. Trying to take the easy and less expensive way out isn't always the best way. I really needed new head shots with good quality. For once I decided to make the right investment with the right photographer. Wayne was absolutely wonderful! I told him what I needed and he made it all possible. He even added is own style as well, which made my pictures turn out even better then I had imaged. I was really nervous at first hoping I chose the right photographer. When I showed up to his studio I was immediately impressed which really made it a bit more comfortable and took a weight off my shoulders because of the professionalism he had. Wayne makes the photo shoot very fun and easy to do. If you're not sure how to move, place your head or what kind of facial expressions to use, Wayne helps you out completely. (Where as most non professional photographers leave it all up to you to decide and if you don't have much experience it doesn't really get you anywhere.) By the end of the photo shoot when we looked over the photos I was so ecstatic because my pictures turned out great!!!! I couldn't choose between them! Even before he touched them up they all looked fabulous! I will definitely use Wayne in the future for head shots or any other pictures I may need and DEFINITELY will RECOMMEND him to anyone who needs photos of any kind! :) THANK YOU WAYNE!!!" -- Crystal Trudelle

Ryan is a DJ from Peoria, Illinois here having a little fun in Las Vegas and decided to do a photo shoot with me to create some images for his portfolio. Smiling Soles Event

This morning I was down at Las Vegas Fire Station #1 at 6:30am taking pictures of the volunteer team setting up for the Smiling Soles Event. At 9am the buses started rolling in with the 500 pre-selected elementary school children that had an opportunity to select new shoes of their choice, as well as socks and a toothbrush.
It was a great even put together by Leadership Las Vegas 2008. I volunteered my services and look forward to working with them on future events. Several news organizations were on hand capturing footage and tomorrow there will be an add in the Review Journal thanking all the companies that donated services.
Even Mayor Oscar Goodman made an appearence.
Special thanks to current Hallmark student Andy Bardon who was in Las Vegas this week and helped my shoot the event.

Contemporary Executive Headshots

I worked with Rebecca to create some contemporary executive publicity headshots. Rebecca owns an accounting business here in Las Vegas and wanted to produce a warm and friendly image for her advertising materials.
Oh my goodness! I am so very blown away! I could not possibly be any more impressed! I feel so very fortunate to have found Wayne and not your typical photographer. Wayne is a creative artist and innovatively creates the perfect “shot” each time from nothing. Artistic and technical – that is so very rare.
Wayne Wallace is such an incredible talent. He so enjoys the work that he does. It was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end and an experience that will always be so memorable. I had so much fun and I remember thinking that I didn’t want it to end.
As a business professional myself, I know that I have high expectations of other professionals. Wayne certainly exceeded my expectations and his attention to detail shows in every aspect of his business. He kept his commitment and then some. A true professional knows that their name really is on everything they do.
I have to say that when I first saw my slideshow – I was completely overwhelmed. Well, I still am. To think that these are the “unretouched” versions seems incredible enough so to think that they could possibly get better or improved upon seems unbelievable.
I remember laughing at the term “celebrity headshot” as if I could possibly qualify as a “celebrity” but now I truly feel like one. I must be some kind of celebrity with photos like these that seem to belong in a “portfolio” of some kind.
So how can one possibly select the best shots when they are all great? It was crazy so I had to ask friends and family to assist me and it took days. Wayne captured who I really am. He knew how to do that and he brought out my personality with honest and natural expressions. That is a talent.
As a businessman, he has perfected the entire viewing and ordering process to provide information to educate his clients along with step by step instructions for making the process completely effortless. He has all the bases covered with his beautiful and effective websites. What more could you want?
So I will be referring everyone I know to Wayne for the very best experience and a chance to feel like a celebrity. I know that those who see my photos will be so impressed they will insist on contacting Wayne.
It was fun. I had nothing to worry about, just leave it to Wayne, the professional.
A million thanks to you Wayne! You are truly outstanding!

Las Vegas Airport Miniatures
So last night I went out and experimented with some new photography stuff I’ve been wanting to try out for a while. It’s called miniature or tilt shift photography.
I figured one of the best places to try this out was at the Las Vegas airport because you have a great vantage point of the baggage area.
Here’s my first attempt at this type of photography and no doubt you will be seeing much more of this type of photography from me.
It’s so fun and that’s what photography is all about for me having fun!

I did headshots for the team at Perkolate Design and also work with them as a service partner on their clients design projects.
Recently Jason, the web guru at Perkolate, helped me fix a code problem with my blog template making it look correct on multiple browsers.
BTW, In addition to doing great work, they also make a fantastic coffee for you when you visit their office!

If you've read the about me section of my site you may know that I worked for 20 years in the graphic design and software world before becoming a full time photographer. I started using AutoCAD version 2 back in 80s. After being a user and programmer of the system for an engineering company I moved to California to work for Autodesk as a developer support specialist.
Kean, one of my old colleagues, came to Las Vegas last year for the Autodesk University conference and decided to hire me to get some new headshots done. He's in town again this year so we're going to meet up for dinner so I thought I'd give a little shout out to him and my old company Autodesk.

Thanksgiving R&R In Colorado

Joe and his wife Pat live in the mountains of Colorado and have a regular farm with horses, dogs and goats. Contemporary Business Headshots

Last week I met with Christopher, who's a builder of hi end homes here in Las Vegas. We had a great time creating some contemporary headshots for his new advertising campaign. Here's a few of his favorites from the session and a testimonial he sent me.
I had been putting off getting my headshots done for a while, until I found Wayne. As an amateur photographer, I love taking photos, but was nervous about what to expect from a professional photo session with me as the subject. What should I wear? How should I pose? Should I smile, not smile, etc? Wayne offered lots of information before the session, but was most helpful during the session. He spent time chatting and getting to know me, rather than just jumping right in. He explained the procedure and answered any questions I had. When it came time to shoot, I was still slightly unsure, but Wayne quickly put me at ease, leading me through each scene with great direction and humor. After a few minutes, everything came naturally, and the remainder of the session was a breeze. The best part was seeing the end result. It was impossible for me to only choose a few from the many great photos Wayne captured. I look forward to working with him again soon. Thanks Wayne! - Christopher

The Zero G Experience!

So today I got to experience simulations of mars gravity, moon gravity and pure weightlessness!!!
What a cool experience!! Nothing on earth like it!!!
After suiting up and being briefed on our flight instructions we were bussed over to McCarran Airport and boarded the plane. After reaching our flying altitude we took our position in the float area on the floor and the plane started it's maneuvers.
Pretty soon we were a bit lighter and floating around.
It was a little tricky taking photos while floating around uncontrollably with people flying and spinning past me but I got the hang of it after smashing into the ceiling a few times and had to give people a gentle spin so I could capture their good side.
I'd definitely recommend this experience check out the Zero G website.

Marcin & Roxanne - A Vegas Wedding

Marcin & Roxanne called this past Saturday afternoon desperate for a photographer after the other Las Vegas photographer they hired and paid in advance didn't show up for the wedding. They traveled all the way from Poland to get married here in Las Vegas so I'm glad I was able to accommodate them at the last minute and create some memories for them.
We jumped in the stretched Hummer limousine and ran around town creating some fun images.

Bruce visited Las Vegas recently and needed to get some new headshots for his business marketing and online networking. Bruce was a lot of fun to work with and I think we captured his personality.
"During our photography session Wayne demonstrated that he truly cared about creating the highest quality pictures for me. The proof is evident in the pictures. When I graduated I looked back on my previous work as well to see how far I had come in just 10 short months as well. This is the first model I ever photographed back in 2002. When I got the film back from the lab and saw how great the pictures came out, totally by accident, I was hooked and I knew that this is what I wanted to do for a living.

An 8.8.08 Vegas Wedding at eight!

I had the pleasure of having fun with Jennifer and Doug yesterday who tied the knot at a little white wedding chapel in Las Vegas yesterday on 8.8.08. After running around the streets of Vegas being crazy and taking some fun pictures we made it to the chapel which was jam packed and at the strike of 8 o clock they were married while their friends and family watched the 8 minute long ceremony being streamed over the internet.
