Class of 2008 Field Trip to NoHo _Section C_
Wednesday, October 10, 2007
Does this look familiar to any of you?

Today we went to Northampton for our field trip. I am tired. I got to the school at 7:00 so I could check out lenses. Then shot until 4:35...with a break to go to the Museum. Then I rushed back to the school to turn in my lenses before 5:45 (Beacuse Joey is scary! jk). Now I am posting this...just so you can all reminisce. I know that is nothing compared to what is in store for me...but I am still tired.
Here are my rejects for the selective focus assignment. Since instructors check this sight I don't want to ruin the big surprise for them of seeing the actual picture I turn in by leaking it here.

Well I don't know if we are supposed to post before we turn in...I don't know why we could or could'nt.....I don't know, so for now I'll not post. That is the real reason I am not showing you the ones I will turn in.

First Few Weeks
Wednesday, September 26, 2007

We the class of 2008 have been at hallmark for 3 weeks as of today. For me it has been so exciting. I am already tired and we haven't done much yet compared to what is in store for us. I think is it hard to sit all day long and listen to the instructors talk. It makes me tired LOL
I cant wait until we start doing more stuff. We went to Shelburne Falls, yesterday and today. That was fun, we cant share any pictures with you Hipsters yet from our assignments because we have not received our digital backs yet, nor have we learned how to scan film...or what ever it is we will do in the future with the pictures we are taking now.
I have really enjoyed the experience so far of being submersed into photography. I can feel my brain changing, becoming more creative, like it has been let loose to explore photography to the fullest.
Tomorrow I get to work on out door portrait photography with Rich. I have learned so much from him already. He is a great teacher...and funny too. Then we have a field trip soon to work with shutter speeds - stopping motion, showing motion, stuff like that.
I have posted a picture I took for Maxpreps at a local high school football game the other day. I am shooting for them while going to school. Don't know how much longer I will be able to do that. I still have pictures that need to be posted from a game I shot Friday I usally have them up the next day. Oh well I do what I can.
Thanks for being here for us.

Risky Adventures
Friday, June 1, 2007
A couple other Hallmark students and I found our way into this old run down papermill. I did the stage makeup you see in the pictures, in hope of a more dramatic "beat up, 80'd meth head" look. I will say that after looking at the tiny hole (you could only put one bookbag through at a time) I was going to have to crawl though to enter the building, they had to do quite a bit of talking me into it but, it was really worth it. (Thanks guys!!!) Obviously there was no source of power in this building so I only had an on camera flash to work with and I know with more controlled lighting these pictures could have been 10 times greater, but I'm pleased with the outcome considering. Let me know what you think and don't hold back!

Phase 3: Personal Submission
Sunday, March 18, 2007
First off, let me say thanks to Wayne for getting this started. What a great idea. I hope it provides plenty of support and networking to all us Hallmarkers out there. This is one of my phase three personal submissions. Jacqui and her sister Katie (pictured here) came out from Worcester. I'm graduating with an emphasis in Fashion and Commercial and hope to either assist or work at a rental studio in San Francisco after school. I'm thinking working at a rental studio at first would be great to network with other photographers, assistants, techs and so on in the area, since I really don't know anyone out there yet.
Anyways, there's my two cents for now. :-)
